One price, everything in
The visit and measure
A free home visit. We measure every window ourselves and bring samples to see and touch.
Made and fitted
Made to measure for each window in around 4 to 6 weeks (supplied and fitted in as little as 2 weeks in a real hurry, at an extra factory charge), and fitted by the same family team who measured. No subcontractors.
VAT and the guarantee
VAT is included, and our composite shutters come with a 10-year guarantee against colour fade and manufacturing faults (3 years on the invisible tilt, 1 year on hinges and hardware).
Nothing to pay at the visit. If you go ahead: 60% to order, 30% a week before your fitting day, 10% on the day we fit. Your shutters are made to measure, so once we've ordered them the deposit can't be refunded. We'll never push you to decide on the day.
What makes one job cost more than another
The size of your windows
The biggest factor. We price by the square metre, so a bigger window costs more than a small one, and you only pay for what you have.
Bays and shaped windows
Bays add £100 for each section of the bay (£300 for a three-sided bay), VAT included, for the corner posts and angles. Arched and angled windows take more work and are priced on your quote.
Colour and material
White composite shutters are £400 per m² and our standard colours are £500 per m², VAT included. Real wood is available and priced on your quote. Wood or composite?
Doors
Shutters fitted to French doors are priced like windows. Tracked shutters for patio and bi-fold doors are the same £400 per square metre (£500 in colour), plus a charge for the track on each door. Your quote shows every part of the price. Door shutters →
Price questions
How do I work out the price for my windows?
Measure the width and height of the window in metres and multiply them to get square metres. Multiply that by £400 for a rough idea. For example, a window 1.2 m wide and 1.2 m tall is 1.44 m². We measure every window exactly at the free home visit, so your quote is based on the real sizes. A single window on its own costs a little more per square metre, and bays add £100 for each section.
Why does one window on its own cost a little more?
Every job includes the home visit, measuring, delivery and a fitting trip. On one window, all of that is carried by one shutter. Add more windows and they share it, so each one costs less. We give you the exact figure at the visit.
Why do bays cost a little more?
A bay needs corner posts made to its angles, and more careful measuring and fitting, so we add £100 for each section of the bay. A three-sided bay adds £300.
Are online DIY shutters cheaper?
Often, yes. But with DIY shutters you measure and fit them yourself, and if a measurement is out, the shutter won't fit and the cost is yours. With us, we measure, we fit, and the fit is our responsibility.
Does the style change the price?
Not for most styles: full height, tier-on-tier and café are all £400 per square metre in white or £500 in colour. Bays add £100 a section, tracked door shutters add a charge for the track on each door, and real wood is priced on your quote. Size matters most, so café style, which covers only the lower part of the window, costs less than full height on the same window.
How much would shutters cost for a whole house?
It depends on how many windows and how big they are. As a guide, a three-sided bay plus two medium windows comes to about £3300 in white, fitted. You can start with the front room and add other rooms later.
How can I keep the cost down?
Choose white (£400 per square metre) rather than a colour (£500), and consider café style on windows where you only need privacy at the bottom. You also don't have to do every window at once: start with the rooms you use most and add the rest later. We will happily quote a few options.
Why are shutters more expensive than blinds?
Each shutter is made to the exact size of your window, with its own frame, hinges and tilting louvres, and we measure and fit every one. There are no cords or fabric to wear out, and our composite shutters come with a 10-year guarantee.
Do you do sales or discounts?
No. We don't run "up to 50% off" offers or countdown deals. Our rates are £400 per square metre in white and £500 in colour, and they don't change month to month.
Is there VAT relief or a discount for new builds?
Our prices already include VAT, and they're the same for everyone, whether your home is brand new or a hundred years old. There's no separate new-build discount and no haggling.
