After the wait while your shutters are made (around 4 to 6 weeks), fitting day is the quick part. Here is what we do.

Before we arrive
We book your fitting day once your shutters have arrived with us. Please clear the windowsills and a little space in front of each window, and take down any blinds, nets, curtain poles or cables that are in the way. If that's hard for you, just tell us and we'll see if we can help (it isn't part of the quote).
Frames first
Each frame is fitted in or around the window opening, the way we agreed for that window, and set square and level. This is what lets the shutters open and close properly.
Then the panels
The panels are hung in the frames and adjusted so they line up, close evenly and meet neatly.
Checking every one
We open and close every panel and tilt every louvre, and make any last adjustments.

Fitting day: your questions
How long does it take to fit shutters?
A standard window takes about an hour, a bay about half a day, and a whole house usually one to two days.
Is fitting shutters messy?
There is some drilling, so a little dust. We tidy up before we leave.
Will fitting leave holes or marks on my walls?
The frame is screwed into the window opening or the wall around it, so there will be screw holes and some drilling dust, which we tidy up before we leave. Matt picks the fixing for each window that does the least damage and looks best.
